Field 1
8am Miami v Ur moms fav D - Miami is looking to mend the ship after losing what they thought was a winnable game against the Overachievers. Fav D is trying to keep the momentum of their win against Rider. I really don't know much about Fav D, but I know they're new and new doesn't do well against an up and comer like Miami. Miami will play hard and complain their way to win #2
9am Silverbacks v Neckbeards - Hope always springs eternal at the beginning of every season for the teams that languish at the bottom of the barrel. It also springs when the teams at the bottom get to face one another. Both teams have lost their first two games and only 8 points seperate their defenses. I don't know what the Neckbeards are so I'll take them over the known quantity of the Silverbacks.
10am FSU v Hardville - Both teams are coming off of heartbreaking losses. FSU at the hands of the Dynasty and Hardville by a gut punch to the Goats. FSU has had the tougher go of it in the first two weeks while Hardville managed a win an established Beefcake. This should be an evenly matched contest. I'm feeling the tomahawk chop in this one.
11am BMS Mountain Goats v Jokers - BMS might be the best newcomer to the league since the original Asfit. Have a better than average quarterback and some real athletes on both sides of the ball. Believe it or not the Jokers are better than advertised. If they could tighten up the defense they might throw a scare into some of their more experienced opponents. Both teams won last week so they look to see how they measure in what should be another tight game. In spite of their inexperience I like BMS to laugh at the end of this one.
Field 2
8am Warriors v Money Team - they say familiarity breeds contempt. It will be all daps and hugs when it is done but make no mistake both teams want to win THIS game. The Warriors started off the season minus a few of their additions but managed a hard fought win against the Gators. Money Team was the better team for 38 minutes, but couldn't be better for the final two. Now BJ gets to face his brothers in a style fight. The Warriors have been known to do it on offense while MT has won championships by playing hard defense and never turning the ball over. I think defense wins it here.
9am Falcons v Vikings - the never consistent Falcons put their 1-1 record against the surprising 2-0 Vikings. Both teams come into the games with a W, but those wins came in far different manners. The Falcons outlasted the Spartans while the Vikings suffucated the overmatched Silverbacks. The Vikings can make a real go of it if they can overcome the Falcons on Sunday. I just don't see them getting it done, but god knows I've been wrong before.
10am Rams v Jokers - rams started their season with a tough loss at the hands of the Wildcats. They hope to get back on track with a game against a team without the Wildcat resume. The Rams are the offshoot of the Miami team that went 8-2 last season. They have athletes, but they also have a ton of ego baggage on that roster. I thnk the Jokers figure them out for the win.
11am Rams v Gators - the Rams get to play the wounded Gators who suffered a mind numbing defeat in overtime against their friends on the Warriors. The Gators have been a 500 team the last couple of seasons, but I don't think they have emptied their tanks yet. This game should tell the story as the Gators climb into the win column this week.
Field 3
8am Beefcake v Dynasty - after losing week 1 Beefcake found their stride in a competitive game against the Old Dogs. Dynasty matched the outcome with a win over FSU. This game matches similiarly skilled teams in what should be a battle of attrition. Dynasty always has a plan and I think that plan makes them a winner this week.
9am Wildcats v Giants - After starting the season with a head scratching forfeit, the wildcats made amends with a sound victory over the Rams. Was I the only person who thought it weird to see Ken Gluck wearing the Wildcat uniforms. Talk about head scratching. The Giants took it on the chin against a Bulldogs team that seemingly was just looking to make it competitive. Now the Giants are 0-2 and don't stand a chance against the Wildcats.
10am Crimson Tide v Chargers - The Tide believe they have what it takes to make some noise this season. They have consecutive seasons in A playoffs and have added experience to the roster while trimming the fat off of a team that had up to 15 players. The Chargers had a difficult time with Money Team in their last game, but doing what champions do by finding a way to the win. With two weeks off I don't think the Chargers will have a let down as they beat up on the upstart Tide.
11am Overachievers v Team USA - The O's have quietly dispatched two middle of the road teams coming into this game. Team USA has yet to find a win as they have faced two of the more athletic teams in the league (Money Team and BMS Mountain Goats). Not sure what they did to piss off the schedule makers, but I can see an 0-3 start for Team USA. BTW where is the flag and the entry music? Please bring it back!
Field 4
8am Old Dogs v Chiefs - both teams are 1-1 with only six points seperating their defenses. Both lost hard fought games in very different fashions two weeks ago. The Old Dogs were walked by Beefcake and the Chiefs were scalped by the Tide. This is an interesting matchup, but if Bryan David can make it to the game it should be a victory for the Chiefs.
9am Bulldogs v Cardinals - Say what you will about Ralph the man gets his guys to play with conviction each week. No one this side of the Bulldogs thought they had a shot at winning that game but lo and behold the Bulldogs stymied the Giants to two scores. The Cardinals blasted a seemingly disinterested Titans on their way to another regular season win. My understanding is that the Bulldogs asked for this game because Feinstein will be absent. His absence will hurt, but it will not cause them to lose.
10am Rider v Goats - Rider opened their MCFFL careers with a loss Ur Mom's Fav D. Not a good way to start. The Goats have found the win column in both of their games this season. I am guessing that this version of the goats is far different than the Goats of years past. Another win will cement that opinion.
11am Spartans v Commission - Both teams found their way to the loss columns against seemingly evenly matched opponents. The Spartans lost a close one to the Falcons, but the Commission got mud-stomped by the Lions. The Commission is a tough group to figure because they have experienced talented football players, but can never find a means to win. This week will change their fate as they beat the undermanned Spartans.
