Have a great Mother's Day
1) Irish - had the week off. Still undefeated. Number 1 now after Elite's loss. Look to finish the season giving out number twos.
2) Overachievers - Does this team have any holes besides the one in my heart? All season long they've been quietly winning or quietly dominating. Either way they're as good as it gets with their only loss coming against the Irish.
3) Elite - I had the feeling they were going to have a let down. Better week 7 than in the playoffs. This loss might be the wake up call they needed. Losing to the Warriors is not the worst thing in the world. Your ego takes a hit, but we all understand that can happen.
4) HMC Elite - We won our division with a strong victory over our friends at Hardville. We still have games against Commission and the Saints on our schedule, but a top four seed has been secured.
5) Saints - after a night of mirth and frivolity Brandon, Cory, Vic, and JJ managed to come out and penetrate the Lions with a two point win. The Saints have control of the division, but need to win out to avoid losing the division to the suddenly dangerous Way2crafty. Need to go hard in their last four games if they want to penetrate the top four of their conference.
6) Warriors - I look like an idiot on everyday that ends in Y. I still look better than the Warriors do in the 90's wrestling costumes they have doubling as uniforms. Actually looks like the Ultimate Warrior. The Warriors saw to it that I looked like a sage on Sunday with a season defining win against the defending champions. Go into mother's day as the number 5 seed thanks to the strong season of the Irish. Can still make more noise than Bruce Stone fighting a bum in a metal garbage can.
7) Blue Bulls - dafuq is going on ova here? They HANDLED the Spartans with a 10 point win that was never really in doubt. Not sure what to make of them, but we can start by showing respect to that 5-1 record. Going into the break with a top 4 seed.
8) Way2Crafty - having Kenny helps, but holding opponents to 13.5 points a game goes a long way to establishing a winning culture. They allowed 14 points against a Nukes team with a veteran team and a high level QB. Currently not a division leader, but they keep pressure on the Saints going into the break.
9) Miami - S-H-I-T-S-H-O-W. That is how you spell the dominance with which Miami handled their business against the Goats. Currently 4-3 with the skeleton crew they trot out every week.
10) Commission - went into halftime against the Overachievers with a lead. A couple of empty drives and missed opportunities later and the Commission found themselves on the wrong side of a 28-22 come from behind loss. They're scuffling along, but the playoffs are where they make their money. Just need to get there.
11) Spartans - I picked you to win. You asked me not to, but I did anyway. What happened? A 28-18 loss to the Blue Bulls is what happened. Still in the top 8 in their conference going into the break.
12) You Gone Learn Today - They never win pretty, but that defensive number always looks good. Held the shorthanded Old Dogs to 6 points on their way to a 19-6 win. This is a team that makes the most of their ability each week. Not prone to beating themselves. That ability goes a long way to making the A's.
13) Suicide Squad - After three weeks The Squad finally won a game without Jonathan. Never lacking for confidence this team is not the kind of squad you want to see early in the playoffs. Still have some work to do, but at the very least they are on the inside of the A's
14) Ducks - They might want to put ugly in front of their name. Right now and without anyone noticing, the Ugly Ducks have gone on a nice little win streak which has them at 4-3. They are a paper tiger, but at least they are a tiger.
15) Team USA - not a lot of nice things to say about the results of their game on Sunday. They never have 6 players, but they are in most of their games. Sitting at 4-3 right now and Sean has been nice enough to talk to me at work.
16) Falcons - What can I say? Falcons did their thing. They've only played half their schedule, but being 3-2 is better than not being 3-2.
In consideration: Panthers, Lions, Crimson Tide
