1. Saints - Beat the Chargers into complaining about excessive celebrations. I mean it is a dick move to use the ball as a prop for showing up your opponent, but those pick 6's didn't throw themselves. The subtitle of this season Should be the Richer get Rich! The only thing keeping the Saints from immortality is the Titans!
2. Wildcats - they did what all the good teams have done against the Warriors this season. Spot them a big lead and then come from behind on that awful defense which was supposed to have improved with Drago and Thomas on it! Might be the team to beat on the AFC side of the league. Finish with the Wolfpack.
3. Overachievers - rumor has it Millan was going to honor Arroyo by wearing an Arroyo jersey until someone walked away with the Jersey! Played an emotionally drained Gators and came away with a 10 point win. Team has played well with the additions of Sasso and Wood. Could finish with 8 wins with a victory against Team USA.
4. Miami - The final score against Rock Nation made the game look close. It really was never in question. Miami has gotten a lot of mileage out of the spare tire playing QB. Never stop recruiting either as they were seen courting Drago and Thomas off of the Warriors. Combined record of the teams they played for last season 11-9! Seems like a good way to build a team. Finish against the Gators.
5. Money Team - beat the Giants by a convincing two scores without the services of Ty Hill. Could be a bad sign for the rest of the league, if they can continue on this path. #finish against the OG's. I like how Williams trolls the Warriors and distances himself from them. Money Team would have won without you, but that ain't none of my business.
6. Chargers - learned that the Charger tissues are also powder blue after watching them cry for a half hour about excessive celebrations. Took one on the chin against the Saints but so has everyone else. Three is the most losses by this team for as far back as I can remember. Rock Nation will not make it four.
7. Titans - Secured a spot in the playoffs with a convincing win over the Raiders. Still have a shot at the division crown with a win and a Charger loss against Rock Nation. Either way they will play have to play the Saints in the season finale.
8. Dynasty - earned a seat at the big boy table with a win against the Silverbacks on Sunday. Looks as though they will get the 5 seed and a potential second round matchup against the Saints. Play the motivated Ducks on Sunday.
9. Beefcake - Secured the division crown with a 5 point win against the Outkast. Should Beefcake win and give up less points than the Chargers on Sunday they will earn a three seed and avoid the Saints in the second round. Spartans are the obstacle.
10. Mud Dogs - have secured their first birth into the A playoffs by going 1-1 last week. Can finish with 7 wins for the season by beating the Jokers.
11. Team USA - Has had their ups and down all seasons. Considering what they have had to endure this season should be considered a success no matter of what playoff bracket they find themselves playing. Had the week off to rest up for the Overachievers on Sunday.
12. Crimson Tide - might be the hottest team in the league NOT named the Saints. Had a bye last week but managed a win in the Burlington League. Can finish in the "A" playoffs with a win against the PL Vikings.
13. Outcast - went one and one on Sunday, but lost a crucial game against Beefcake. Showed lots of resolve by handling the Seahawks in decisive fashion. Can still make the A playoffs with a win against the Giants on Sunday.
14. Ducks - managed a 3 point win over the struggling OG's for their division leading win. Can claim their first win and their first run into the "A" playoffs with a victory against Dynasty.
15. Spartans - team is spiraling out of contention as they lost a one point game against Jokers. Started out 5-2 and have now lost two in a row and could be on the outside looking in if they cannot find a way to beat Beefcake this week.
16. Old Dogs - my motherfucking man Steve Phillips does it again! The Old Dogs come out against a Mud Dawgs team half their age and escapes with a 6 point victory and a chance of making the "A" playoffs. Even if it is for one game it speaks volumes to their resolve. Play the Badd Guys to end the season.
17. Alter Ego - Have not watched one second of this team. Not ONE. Have played well enough to make the top twenty which should speak volumes to how this season has gone. Will probably miss the "A's" but it won't be for a lack of effort. Play the Silverbacks on Sunday.
18. Lions - team is utterly frustrating to predict. Play well in spots and inconsistent in others. Unbelievably they still have a shot to win their division and a top four seed. Having a bye last week should help them against the Seahawks this weekend.
19. Gators - emotionally drained the Gators did their best to return to a state of normalcy. Played an exciting first half only to be thwarted when they couldn't match the intensity in the second half. On the outside looking into the "A's" but can give themselves hope by beating Miami.
20. Giants - got beaten up by a Money Team playing without Ty Hill. Who loses to Money Team without TY HILL? One of about 13 teams with a chance to make the playoffs from the AFC. Will need to beat Outcast to have a chance.
Week 10 - Nov 15th
Double Headers:
Seahawks & OG's
8am Silverbacks v Alter Ego - One team needs a win and the other needs more than the Eckmans. Alter Ego is Eckmanless so they get this one easily.
9am Goats v OG's - this game is craptastic. Thank you for a thrilling week ten schedule. I guess the OG's will win and only the OG's will care!
10am Money Team v OG's - I think one of the four subs that doesn't see the field for Money Team could play QB and come away with a W against the servers. I wish they would try, but they won't! #MT #Finishes #FIT
11am Outcast v Giants - Should the Giants come out with a full compliment of players they will send Outcast to the showers. They could use showers. And soap. And shampoo. We should hold a fundraiser. Eh, they will get an L make the B's and maybe come away with a W. No matter how you slice it Outcast has had a good season.
12pm Crimson Tide v PL Vikings - Tide is going to destroy these guys. Shit won't be cool. At all. Hey Pat Miller, if you think about it could you ask the Vikings what the PL means. I think it is Presidential Lakes, but I need confirmation.
8am The BaddGuys v Old Dogs - I want the Old Dogs to win. Not because I dislike the Badd Guys, but because the Old Dogs are the good guys. Good Guys finish last though. Badd Guys will finish first. Both will be in the B's. Too bad so sad.
9am Ducks v Dynasty - Duck Dynasty. Charlie has a sense of humor! I really don't give a shit about this game. Dynasty has the better record, but I am not sure if they have the better team. Doesn't matter though because the Dynasty will be better on Sunday.
10am Saints v Titans - is there any doubt that Brandon Feinstein did a better Pat Papero impersonation than the actual Pat Papero? I always acknowledge the contribution of Rich Wright, but Randy Williams may actually mean more to this team. When he last played for the Saints they were losing in overtime to the Chargers. Missed a season and the Saints go 6-4. Now they're 9-0 and one step away from an undefeated season. I say they take that step against the Titans.
11am Chargers v Rock Nation - After week two this game stacked up to be a fun one. Injuries mounted for Rock Nation, reality set in and then Bryan Henry checked out. Now the Chargers get an easy path into the playoffs.
8am Warriors v Raiders - two teams at the beginning of the season with realistic expectations of a title drive have now found themselves as early favorites to win the "B's". The Warriors are who we thought they were on defense. Funny how Bruce gets the blame for that defense. He could throw a pick six every game, but the reality is, they score almost 30 a game. That defense has to stop someone. The Raiders have missed the services of Luis Santiago as a rusher and it shows. With one game they will both play with their usual pride. Warriors will have more as they prepare to take home another "B" crown.
9am Miami v Gators - At the beginning of the season I had the fortune of these two teams reversed. I thought Miami would take a step back (from the buffet) and the Gators would rebound from a 5-5 season. Now the Gators are clinging to a thread of hope while Miami is feasting on a favorable schedule. Miami has been listless the last couple of weeks but I think they'll manage to get up for this game.
10am Wildcats v Wolfpack - division game. Wildcats win this and they'll get the number one seed. Speaking of seed they're going to leave it all over the Wolfpack in this contest.
11am Overachievers v Team USA - at the beginning of the season I heard Sasso and Wood were jumping on with the O's. I assumed it would be as a QB-WR combo. 7 wins later Sasso has played WR and Wood has been all over the field for a team that struggled to compete last spring. Team USA has played well in spots and have kept themselves in contention for a playoff berth. That energy will get them past the O's who are playing to avoid the Saints in the second round.
8am Beefcake v Spartans - one team clinched the division and the other team is the Spartans. Should Beefcake win and give up 17 less points they could relegate the Chargers to a 4 seed. Problem is the Spartans are in the hunt for a playoff bid and will be motivated. Should be a fierce game. I am calling for a Spartan upset.
9am Seahawks v Bulldogs - every season I think the Seahawks will take a step into the upper echelon and every season they turn into the Lions. I guess after three years they are who we thought they were. The Bulldogs? Well this season's record is solely based on the strength of the schedule, just like last season. The Seahawks have more natural ability, so I got them making another late push for the playoffs.
10am Seahawks v Lions - should my last prediction be correct these two will be playing for a potential division crown, assuming the Ducks lose. Given that none of the teams in the AFC North has taken control it makes for some interesting viewing this week. If the Lions get the full compliment of players they will win the game and possibly the division.
11am Jokers v Mud Dawgs - I find it fitting that the last game to predict is a Uecker. I know the Mud Dawgs are in first place, but really it don't be mattering. Neither does this game. Mud Dawgs win and earn the 3 seed.
